2004 All-Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Team

Salisbury University, the 2004 CAC tournament champions, placed five players on the two All-Capital Athletic Conference baseball teams as the squads were announced Wednesday afternoon after voting by the league’s coaches.
Salisbury University first baseman Nick Pegelow was named the CAC Player of the Year while Mary Washington’s Eric Fitzgerald was selected as the league’s Rookie of the Year.
Salisbury’s Doug Fleetwood was selected as the CAC Coach of the Year by his peers. The award is the fourth straight for Fleetwood.
Mary Washington placed a league-high six players on the two teams while Salisbury had five players recognized by the league. York College and Catholic University tied with four players on the teams. St. Mary’s had two players recognized while Gallaudet placed one player on the second team.
The CAC has four teams with 23 or more wins for the 2004 season with two weeks left in the regular season.
