CAC Announces Tennis Post-Season Awards
The Capital Athletic Conference announced the 2004 men’s and women’s
tennis Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year awards after
voting by the league’s coaches on Monday.
The men’s Player of the Year went to Mary Washington’s Tim
Ryan. The Rookie of the Year award was earned by Goucher College’s
Andrew Danos. Salisbury’s Randy Halfpap
was named the men’s Coach-of-the-Year award as voted on by his peers.
The women’s Player of the Year was Ashley Tucker from
Mary Washington College. Salisbury’s Erica Mitry won
the conference Rookie of the Year and Mary Washington’s Cindy
Vanderberg was tabbed as the Coach of the Year.
Mary Washington captured both the 2004 mens’ and women’s conference
championships.
