Membership to the Military and Veterans Society is open to all students, faculty, and staff of York College. At times honorary membership will also be granted. Note: This is a summary of membership types. In the event of a discrepancy the constitution of the Military and Veterans Society takes precedence. Want to join? Print and fill out the membership form. Status Criteria Active One of the below: Veteran of the Armed Services Active Duty Military National Guard Reserves Associate All faculty and staff. All students who are not veterans of the military, Active Duty, Reserves, or National Guard. Honorary Granted by a majority vote of the executive committee for those individuals outside of York College who share the views and values of the society and our American and/or military traditions. Retired Usually reserved for Active and Associate members who leave York College on a voluntary basis. Moving into a retired status is considered a honorable deactivation of membership and is confirmed by the executive committee.
