Team Leader: Tim Boldurian Contact: tbolduri(at)ycp.edu When: Fall and Spring Semesters Aimed For: Elementary Students Faculty Advisor: Peter Piepmeier What is Junior Achievement? SIFE works with Junior Achievement (JA) and local elementary and middle schools to bring the fundamentals of business to this age group. There are five lessons, 30-45 minutes in length. SIFE members who are Education majors can receive credit towards their required urban field experience. SIFE will also be involved with Junior Achievement in other projects during the school year. What are the student roles? SIFE members partner up to teach each module. Working in groups of 2, lessons are taught at local schools. All of the information for the lessons is already prepared, however, there is still preparation required before stepping into the classroom. This is a great opportunity to get classroom experience. 8-10 students are needed to join this team. Students are responsible for setting up times with the teachers to come in for each lesson.
